Indian Health Service Facilities, Tribally-Operated 638 Health Programs, and Urban Indian Health Programs (ITUs) may be referred to as American Indian Health Facilities. They provide general health care services for eligible American Indians and American Indian AHCCCS members, particularly American Indian AHCCCS members enrolled in the AHCCCS American Indian Health Program.
Services Offered By the ITUs
Various medical services are provided at ITU facilities. Each facility may not offer identical services; some services may be available only at certain facilities. Usually, available services may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Emergency health care services
- Dental services
- Immunizations
- Primary Care
- Behavioral Health Care
- Children's Health Care
What if the Services Needed Are Not Offered By the ITU
Necessary services not offered at an ITU facility can be obtained from any AHCCCS registered provider that chooses to serve American Indian Health Program (AIHP) members.
