AHCCCS Tribal Relations Liaison
The Tribal Relations Liaison serves as a point of contact for information and issues concerning health care policies that affect American Indian AHCCCS members. The Tribal Relations Liaison, in the Division of Community Advocacy and Intergovernmental Relations, works with various divisions of AHCCCS to implement the agency’s tribal consultation policy and processes.
The Tribal Relations Liaison also works with the 22 tribes in Arizona, three Indian Health Service (IHS) areas, tribally operated health programs and facilities, and urban Indian health organizations to improve the quality and accessibility of health care for American Indian AHCCCS members.

*Note: The ACC Tribal Coordinator is a required key staff position for the ACC Plans. This position is located in Arizona and functions as a liaison between the ACC Plan and Tribal Nations and tribal providers within their network. The role of the Tribal Coordinator is to facilitate promotion of services and programs to improve the health of eligible American Indian members.
