Emergency Triage, Treat and Transport (ET3)

Overview

Arizona is submitting a state plan amendment (SPA) to add Emergency Triage, Treat and Transport (ET3) services to the State Plan. ET3 services are designed to reduce unnecessary transport to emergency departments by allowing EMS providers to provide treatment in place (when clinically appropriate) and allowing EMS providers to transport members to alternate destinations when a different level of care is appropriate.
