AHCCCS Works | AHCCCS is requesting an amendment to the 1115 Research and Demonstration Waiver, in accordance with A.R.S. 36-2903.09. The waiver amendment seeks authority to implement community engagement or work requirements, a five-year maximum lifetime benefit limit for a portion of the AHCCCS Medicaid population, and impose cost sharing to deter the nonemergency use of the emergency department and ambulance transport. Titled “AHCCCS Works,” the waiver amendment is designed to provide low-income, “able-bodied adults” the tools needed to gain and maintain meaningful employment, job training, and education. | 2/18/2025 | 3/20/2025 |
Former Foster Youth Annual Automatic Renewal | The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) is requesting an amendment to the 1115 Research and Demonstration Waiver, Project Number 11-W-00275/9, to seek authority to waive the condition of eligibility in 42 CFR 435.608 requiring Medicaid beneficiaries to apply for other cash benefits for the Former Foster Youth population. AHCCCS currently offers transitional medical care for children leaving foster care that are between the ages 18 to 26. | ||
IMD Waiver Amendment | The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) is requesting an amendment to the 1115 Research and Demonstration Waiver to seek a waiver of the IMD exclusion for all Medicaid beneficiaries ages 21-64 regardless of delivery system, as a mechanism to increase access to residential treatment services across the State. |
