Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) |
To assist in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic. CRRSAA adds supplemental funds to the Substance use Block Grant (SUBG) and Mental Health Block Grant (MHBG). AHCCCS was awarded No-Cost Extensions (NCEs) for both the SUBG CRRSAA and the MHBG CRRSAA, extending the funding period an additional 24 months, to 3/14/2025, NCE implementation subject to AHCCCS' discretion and limited to existing projects. |

Mental Health Block Grant Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (MHBG BSCA) |
MHBG BSCA administered by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) is a grant utilized to fund the development of a statewide mental health emergency preparedness and response plan focused on addressing behavioral health needs in the aftermath of a community trauma. AHCCCS has been awarded three iterations of this grant funding. |

State Opioid Response Grant III (SOR III) |

Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) |
Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH), a formula-based grant program administered by SAMHSA, is designed to be an outcome driven grant program to support service delivery to individuals with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and/or co-occurring substance use disorders (COD), who are experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of homelessness via street outreach and to engage individuals not currently connected to mainstream mental health services, primary health care and substance use service systems. PATH funds are used to provide a variety of allowable services, including street outreach, case management, and services not supported by mainstream mental health programs. |

Substance Use Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Block Grant (SUBG - formerly known as SABG) | The SUBG program provides funds from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) to AHCCCS to plan, implement, and evaluate activities that prevent and treat substance use in Arizona, including early intervention, harm reduction, recovery, and support services. The SUBG also provides technical assistance funds to address statewide technical assistance needs. | Annual |
State Pilot Grant Program for Treatment for Pregnant and Postpartum Women (PPW-PLT) | The purpose of the program is to enhance flexibility in the use of funds designed to: 1) support family-based services for pregnant and postpartum women with a primary diagnosis of a substance use disorder, including opioid use disorders; 2) help state substance abuse agencies address the continuum of care, including services provided to pregnant and postpartum women in nonresidential-based settings; and 3) promote a coordinated, effective and efficient state system managed by state substance abuse agencies by encouraging new approaches and models of service delivery. | 9/30/2024 - 09/29/2027 |
