Providers under the Arizona Medicaid program are eligible to participate in the Arizona EHR Incentive Program if they meet the EHR Incentive Program requirements.
Medicaid EPs include:
- Physicians
- Nurse Practitioners
- Certified Nurse - Midwife
- Dentists
- Physicians Assistants who practice in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or Rural Health Clinic (RHC) that is led by the Physician Assistant

PI Practice Request Form is used when Eligible Professionals (EPs) in a Group Practice
or Clinic would like to attest using the Practice’s data to qualify for the EHR
Incentive Program’s patient volume criteria. The Aggregate Patient Volume Methodology
uses the Practice’s patient encounters for the entire Practice (multiple providers)
but can only be used as a proxy for all EPs in the Practice if all the Mandatory
Federal and State Specific Rules are met.
AHCCCS Medicaid hosts regular webinars to educate the healthcare community about topics related to the Promoting Interoperability (PI) Programs. During these events, AHCCCS provides updates on program changes, requirements, deadlines; upcoming events; and new resources. Program experts also reserve time at the end of each webinar to address audience questions.
